Twenty nine-year-old Fort Collins resident Benjamin David Gilmore was arrested Thursday night in conjunction with the Oct. 24 Mason Street fire.
The fire, which broke out at 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 24 at a four story structure on Mason Street that was under construction, eventually spread to the Penny Flats complex, displacing numerous CSU students who lived there.
The fire caused an estimated $10 million in damages.
Gilmore is under arrest for 1st degree arson, 2nd degree burglary and criminal mischief and is currently being held at Larimer County Jail.
According to the Coloradoan, Gilmore was involved with the Occupy Fort Collins protests, which occurred near Penny Flats.
