The Rams were able to dispose of conference foe San Diego State University in three sets on Thursday night (25-21, 25-18, 25-21) to take a commanding lead in the Mountain West.
The Rams (16-4, 9-1 MW) were able to quickly dispose of San Diego State (13-7, 6-3 MW) thanks to outstanding production coming from their middle blockers.
Brieon Paige led all Rams with 9 kills in the match, and Megan Plourde helped the cause adding 8 kills and 11 points.
The Rams were able to dismantle SDSU by hitting at .282 as a team on the match, and holding Andrea Hannasch to 4 kills and -.214 hitting percentage on the night.
Hannasch came into the match leading San Diego State in kills on the season, and was neutralized by CSU’s blockers who had 10 blocks to go along with 7 personal errors on the night.
