Starting middle linebacker James Skelton and reserve defensive lineman Zach Tiedgen have been suspended for Saturday’s game against Northern Colorado.

The two players were cited at a pool party on Aug. 27. Skelton was charged with third-degree assault which was later reduced to harassment.

Tiedgan was charged with disorderly conduct.

Coach Steve Fairchild released the following statement Friday morning.

“Based on all the information we’ve been able to gather to date, I’m suspending James Skelton and Zach Tiedgen from tomorrow’s game for their role in the Aug. 27 incident.”

The players were unavailable to comment. The team makes players unavailable to media on Friday’s during game weeks.

CSU plays UNC Saturday at noon.
