CSU global campus sees first graduating class

The CSU Global Campus, the only independent, online university in the nation, is graduating its first class of students on Saturday in Denver.
The Global Campus aims to cater primarily to working adults seeking to complete either bachelor’s or master’s degrees, and all courses are taught solely online.
The ceremony will occur at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Seawell Grand Ballroom of the Denver Center for Performing Arts.

Master’s in Fine Arts Exhibition celebrates opening reception

The University Art Museum’s master of fine arts exhibition, opening on Friday, serves as the culmination of a three-year program for students looking to hone their fine arts skills.
Students in the program focus on a particular area of study and complete a body of work that emphasizes professional levels of work in their chosen field.
The exhibition opens on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the University Art Museum. Admission is free.

Groundbreaking for Engineering II building today

CSU will be holding a celebration today at 4:30 p.m. in honor of the groundbreaking for the new Engineering II building, a 122,000 square foot structure set to open in August 2013.
The groundbreaking will be followed by a 5:30 p.m. reception at the Lory Student Center Theatre and Sculpture Garden.

Workshop on time management for busy students

The interactive seminar will give students strategies for time management, with a focus on setting personal priorities and thinking about how to tackle tasks based on larger goals.
The workshop is at 5 p.m. today in the TILT building, Room 115, and is free for all students.
