A safety alert was issued last week asking students and staff to stay vigilant after an incident involving a “peeping Tom” in the women’s locker room in the B-wing of Moby Arena.

The incident occurred at about 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28 when women entering the locker room noticed a man hiding in a darkened shower area.

Once he had been noticed, the man exited the building and ran south. Police have not yet identified him.
According to the safety alert, the man is described as a white male, about 6-foot tall with a slender build and short brown hair. He was wearing a brown and tan camouflage shirt, blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt with a hood that he used to conceal his face.

While the CSU Police Department continues to investigate the incident, there have been no new developments.
“As always, we highly encourage our campus population to, if they see things that don’t look right or see people acting suspiciously, please not hesitate to call the police and report it,” said Brad Bohlander, CSU spokesman.

Anyone who knows details about the incident is asked to contact CSUPD at (970) 491-6425.

“It’s a good reminder to be cautious of your surroundings, and report anything to police that looks suspicious or out of place,” Bohlander said.
