Aiming originally to sell out tickets to the upcoming Ludacris concert by Friday, the Association for Student Activity Programming gave away its 7,600 tickets two days earlier.

ASAP announced on its Facebook page Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. that all free student tickets for Luda’s Nov. 18 concert were given out.

As of 11 a.m. Wednesday morning there were more than 400 tickets still available.
“We were really pleased that it sold out in five days,” said ASAP Concert Coordinator Loren Martinez.

Martinez attributed the organization’s selling success to the fact that 4,200 tickets were given out on Saturday alone and that there were no more first-level tickets available an hour after the box office opened that day.

“We were more surprised with how well we did on Saturday,” Martinez said. “I think that’s why we sold out so early.”
