The Associated Students of CSU will likely be changing its logo to modernize the office and the way people perceive student government.
“We thought this would be a good opportunity to re-brand ASCSU,†President Cooper Anderson said.
A committee comprised of eight members was formed on Tuesday to discuss what the new logo’s appearance and who should create its look.
Matt Strauch, the director of Legislative Affairs, said a professional graphic designer would be brought in to do the redesign.
The logo hasn’t changed in 10 years and student government officials said a facelift has been in the works for quite some time.
“It’s old and it doesn’t represent what the organization does,†Strauch said.
The committee hopes to present a logo idea to Anderson and Vice President Jennifer Babos in December or January.
