Just a day after the CSU football team beat Idaho in dramatic fashion, the Rams came away with another victory – this time on the recruiting front.

On Sunday, Dorian Brown, a running back from Thompson Valley High School in Loveland verbally committed to CSU, making him the 15th known commitment from the class of 2011.

“Yes, I committed to CSU,” Brown said via text message.

Brown, who stands at 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, is a 3-star prospect by Rivals.com and ranked as the 28th-best running back in the country and the No. 4 overall player in the state of Colorado.

Though Brown is missing his entire senior season due to tearing his ACL just six days before Thompson Valley opened its season against Mountain View, he did have an impressive high school career.

As a sophomore in 2008, Brown rushed for 1,527 yards and 13 touchdowns and 1,975 and 23 as a junior.
