Fort Collins Police have arrested a 52-year-old Fort Collins man on suspicion of two counts of first-degree assault in relation to a shooting that left two injured in West Fort Collins late Thursday night.
According to a Fort Collins Police Services press release sent out to the media on Friday, Hue Kellum told a 911 dispatcher that he had been involved with the shooting. This came shortly after police received the initial call reporting gunshots at 3100 Palm Court at about 10:57 p.m Thursday.
When officers responded to the area they found men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported by ambulance for treatment of their injuries.
At the scene, officers found blood and a shell casing, evidence of a disturbance.
With the case under investigation, FCPS still tracking down witness statements, according to Matt Johnson, an agency spokesman.
