Yays and Nays

Aug 302010

Yay | to the HBO movie “Temple Grandin” winning seven Emmy Awards. The film details the inspiring life story of the CSU professor by the same name. Finally, we know someone who’s famous.

Nay | to Glenn Beck and his rally in Washington, D.C. this weekend. We’d like to stop making fun of the Fox News conservative pundit, but he just makes it all too easy.

Yay | to CSU athletics so far this season. With volleyball’s impressive wins last weekend and the football team preparing for the Rocky Mountain Showdown this weekend, there’s a lot of hope going around. Please, please, for the love of god, don’t let us down, Rams.

Nay | to people. Specifically the enormous amounts of them on campus now. Can’t a lowly “Collegianite” get a beer at the Ramskeller without waiting in line for an hour?

Yay | to the CB & Potts Run For Your Life Colorado. The charity attempts to combat childhood obesity, which is a great cause. Plus, there’s beer. Mmmm … beer.

Nay | to contaminated eggs. Once, just once, couldn’t salmonella contaminate something like brussel sprouts or broccoli?
