Wanting to do something different to celebrate Dad this year?

Run the 13th Annual Father’s Day 5K Race this Sunday, starting at 8 a.m. in Old Town Fort Collins.

First-place winners in the male and female categories will receive $200 cash and $50 in Downtown Business Association Bucks. Runner Roost will award a pair of running shoes to the male and female runners who cross the 1-mile marker first.

For the first time, Most Valuable Dad prizes will be awarded to random male racers who do not won a prize.

Registration will take place on the day of the race from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. The cost is $30 per adult and team entries are $45.

Runners can also pre-register through the website http://www.active.com or by picking up and filling out an entry form from Foot of the Rockies, Runners Roost or the Northside Aztlan Community Center at 112 Willow Street.

Pre-registration costs are:
$25 for adults,
$15 for youth (12 and under), and
$45 for father/son or father/daughter teams.
Each entry includes a T-shirt.
