The Collegian confirmed Wednesday that CSU quarterback Jon Eastman plans to transfer from the school, playing his final season of NCAA eligibility Sioux Falls University.

Eastman, who started for the Rams in the Border War against Wyoming, played in six games as a junior in 2009, completing 62 percent of his passes for 494 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound quarterback transferred to CSU from Snow College in Utah, where he led the Badgers to the NJCAA national championship game, falling to perennial powerhouse Butler Community College.

He leaves CSU with a record of 0-1.
