Today, a panel of student veterans and members of the military will be sharing information on what it takes for students to shuffle life between college and the military. The workshop takes place in the Lory Student Center, room 215 from 2 to 3 p.m.
The workshop will give attending students the opportunity to ask questions to the veterans regarding the transition from military to college life (or back and forth for national guards/reservists).
The event is part of the Rams Engaging in Active Leadership, REAL, certificate program. REAL is sponsored by Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement, SLiCE.
Tisa Kunkee, a member of SLiCE, said the workshop helps promote REAL’s initiative, which is dedicated to developing leadership skills among students.
“With REAL, students get the chance to engage in different leadership programs. There are four levels involved in REAL,†Kunkee said.
Students can either choose to participate and earn certificates in every level and interest or can participate by choosing to attend a single workshop.
The workshop is free and open to all students.
