The local Rocky Mountain Raptor Program (RMRP) will hold its highly anticipated 17th Annual Gala Dinner and Benefit Auction Saturday at the Fort Collins Hilton Hotel.

The gala will be held to raise money for the rehabilitation of injured eagles, owls and hawks as well as spreading education to local schools.

RMRP will award CSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital with the Freedom Flight Award on behalf of its efforts to help treat injured wildlife.

The gala starts at 5 p.m. Tickets are $55 at the door. Food and entertainment will be provided.

“(People) can expect great food and to get in arms length of some of the worlds most magnificent creatures,” said Bob Francella, RMRP director of Public Support.

The event will feature a silent and live auction to bid on items including a custom New Belgium bike, lift tickets and a trip to Las Vegas.

Live eagles, hawks and owls will be on display for guests to see and learn information about the current condition of endangered birds.

A complete list of auction items and more information can be found online at http//www.rmrp.org.
