Following student government’s cancellation of the spirit trip to the CSU vs. UNLV game in November, the 50 game tickets, originally reserved for those going on the trip, are now up for grabs.
The Associated Students of CSU originally planned to partner up with the Athletics Department to send a bus of students to the out-of-state game. But ASCSU President Dan Gearhart said the cost of the trip, in addition to the liabilities associated with taking a large group of students to Las Vegas, made them rethink the plans.
Students must go to the ASCSU office, located in the Lory Student Center, to enter the lottery. A valid proof of hotel reservation in Las Vegas or a plane ticket for the weekend of Nov. 7, a name and an e-mail address is required to enter.
Two students have already entered.
Student Leadership and Involvement Community Engagement Director Pam Sampson will be randomly choosing the 50 winners on Oct. 27 at 4:15 p.m.
“It’s not just a particular group of people that gets tickets, not just people who ‘know somebody,'” Gearhart said.
