According to a report by GoldandGreenNews.com, the CSU football team has received their seventh commitment of the 2010 recruiting class from Marvin Ford, a running back who attends Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fla.

Ford, who stands at 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, runs a 4.4 40-yard dash and has 159 yards on 42 carries so far this season. According to one of Ford’s assistant coaches, the Sunshine State running back Steve Schyck, despite not having many yards, will be a college player – he has reportedly had three touchdowns called back including a 75-yard run for a score.

Ford took his official visit to Fort Collins on Sept. 19 when the Rams defeated Nevada 35-20. Two of Ford’s teammates, linebackers Charles Favors and Marquis Hood, are also being heavily recruited by CSU and both took their official visits on the same date.

Ford, Favors and Hood are all former high school teammates of CSU freshman quarterback Nico Ranieri.
