Announced today by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Colorado State wide receiver Rashaun Greer has been named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list.
The award, named after former Florida State receiver Fred Biletnikoff, is given each year to the best wide receiver in college football.
Greer, who had 1,114 receiving yards in 2008 to go along with three scores, was the first Ram wide out to catch for over 1,000 yards in a season since David Andersen in 2005. He was recently named to the Mountain West Conference’s preseason all-conference team along with offensive lineman Shelley Smith.
Greer will join 36 other players across the country on the preseason Biletnikoff watch list. The only two receivers from the MWC to join Greer on this list are BYU’s Dennis Pitta and Ryan Wolfe of UNLV.
