Q: Favorite music genres?
A: Oh, you know, electro funk, jazzy hip-hop, instrumental rock in the vein of Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, anything using FM synthesis — that kind of thing.
Q: What’s your favorite album of right now?
A: Solid State Survivor by YMO.
Q: Why should I listen to your show?
A: Well, it’s not just my show, first of all. I put the show together as a joint effort with fellow DJ and friend Macondo, and we always strive to make sure that we’re doing something new and different when we go on the air. We did one episode where he hosted a game show, we had the on-campus non-traditional a cappella group, The Resident Ramblings, on our show not too long ago, and we’re currently working on a big project for the end of the semester that I actually don’t want to give away too much about.
Q: What’s your favorite political song from 2008?
A: Why, “Go, ‘Bama Go” by Sandman the Rapping Cowboy, of course.
