One of the Rams top recruiting prospects is set to announce his verbal commitment tonight.
Cherokee Trail High School athlete Kendall Gregory-McGhee made a statement on Thursday that as a part of senior night against Arapahoe High School he will decide where he will play football in 2009.
The 6-foot-4, 214 pound athlete, who is ranked as the fourth best player in the state of Colorado by Rivals.com, currently holds scholarship offers from eight schools: Colorado, Colorado State, Minnesota, San Diego State, UNLV, Wyoming, TCU and Boise State.
According to Gregory-McGhee, CSU is still in the running.
“I am definitely still considering CSU,” the Aurora native said. “I think coach Fairchild is going to get the program moving in the right direction. I met him while I was at my team camp this summer. Coach Kerr has been great to interact with in the recruiting process. He has been to watch my practice recently, and we talk and e-mail.”
