CSU defeated the Sacramento State Hornets 23-20 in thrilling fashion, gaining their first win of the young season.

Kicker Ben DeLine hit a 20-yard field goal as time expired to give the Rams the win, his third of the game.

The freshman hit a 36-yard kick a minute and a half earlier to give the Rams the lead.

Safety Mike Pagnotta recovered a fumble from SSU quarterback Jason Smith with a minute left to set up the game winning field goal.

Billy Farris had a career day for CSU, throwing for 321 yards and a touchdown in the win.

With the victory, the Rams improve to 1-1 on the season heading into a bye week.
