Great weather led to a great home opener for the CSU men’s lacrosse club Tuesday. The No. 2 Rams beat the No. 24 University of Texas Longhorns 13-3 for their fourth win of the season.
A slow first half saw CSU go into halftime with a 4-2 lead, but nine second-half goals put the Longhorns away for good.
The Rams attack was led by two freshmen. Paul Larson and Cooper Kehoenotched three goals apiece.
Reigning Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association player of the week, Kevin Wolff, contributed another two goals and an assist.
The Rams’ next game is in San Diego, Cailf., where they will take on UC-San Diego, Sonoma State and Loyola Marymount on March 14, 15 and 16,respectively.
When they return from Spring Break, the Rams will start a six-game home stand against the University of Oregon on Tuesday, March 25.
