At my undergrad college, the University of New Hampshire, if there was an overflow of freshmen, the upperclassmen were put into a lottery. If your number was picked, you got kicked out of housing to find your own place to live (cost of living out there is about twice as much as it is here).
A lot more than 29 students were displaced-permanently/-and without any help. CSU Housing not only found them a place to live in less than a week, but gave them a place to crash in the meantime and offered to help them move again.
I say they did an awesome job with a tough situation.
I get it: moving sucks, and a social life is important. But seriously, if you become socially inept from living in temporary housing for 5 days, then you started that way.
