Media have unfairly punished SAE

I think it’s interesting that although there has definitely been more than one case of a freshman hospitalization this year due to alcohol poisoning, the only one widely publicized is the one SAE is linked with. Maybe the problem is not the fraternity. Maybe the problem is these people who take it upon themselves to make other people around them responsible for the amount of alcohol they consume. Since these people are apparently incapable of knowing what they are doing, then the next choice we have is to make the boys of Sigma Alpha Epsilon pay. In my opinion, this logic doesn’t add up. Many fraternities and sororities on campus have participated in similar activities that these boys are being accused of. Why aren’t all of them gone as well? I think that the media hype of this event has produced an unfair punishment for these boys.
