For at least two hours on Saturday, resident assistants in Westfall and Durward halls won’t be condemning noise. They’ll be encouraging it.

From noon to 2 p.m., residents in the two towers are being encouraged to open their windows and turn up KCSU as loud as possible in the towers’ inaugural “Tower Power.”

“It’s just gonna rock the towers out,” said Ryan Avery, a resident assistant in Westfall Hall, and head of the event.

Outside the Durrell Center there will be games, ice cream, soda and giveaways to local restaurants for residents of the towers.

RAs in the towers want to start a tradition with “Tower Power” as a celebration of the successful completion of the residents’ first week of college.
