Lines backed up at the CSU bookstore Monday after all the computers crashed, causing students to wait up to 30 minutes to check out.

Computers and cash registers shut down, resulting in a huge backup and several frustrated customers.

“The system went down and the cash registers weren’t responding,” said bookstore manager John Perry.

“They all froze and went off one right after the other,” said Brad Hillam, senior history major and bookstore employee. “Everyone has been pretty calm, though.”

To compensate for the inconvenience, customers were offered free bottles of water and candy. Customers also had the option to put their books on hold and come back later once the computers were fixed.

“I had some time to kill anyways, so it’s not that big of a deal,” said Dawn Kissler, a sophomore math major. “And we get free candy and water.”
