New TV network to telecast Ram sports
Need another way to keep an eye on Ram sports? CSTV Regional Networks President Chris Bevilacqua and Mountain West Conference Commissioner Craig Thompson announced Tuesday the unveiling of the MountainWest Sports Network.
It will be the first-ever sports network dedicated solely to an intercollegiate athletic conference.
The MountainWest Sports Network will air 36 MWC football games, 150 basketball games as well as conference championships.
“The launch of The mtn. later this summer is a huge breakthrough in sports programming and will completely change the way fans stay connected with the teams, rivalries and pageantry of the Mountain West Conference,” Bevilacua said in a press release. “The Mountain West Conference is a terrific partner and, together we’re providing fans a super regional network offering unparalleled access to each and every local sports community within the Mountain West region.”
In addition to the telecast on The mtn., other MWC football games will air in local markets, meaning that all conference games will be telecast.
The network begins coverage Sept. 2.
