The 14th Annual Spring Contest, Powwow and Indian Market is planned for this weekend at the Larimer County Fairgrounds in Loveland.

The two-day event, which will be held inside the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at The Ranch & Budweiser Events Center, off of I-25, will include drummers, dancers, arts and crafts, other vendors and food. A Navajo code talker will be honored.

Volunteers are needed for both days. Two- or four-hour shifts are available and volunteers receive free admission, parking and a fry bread taco. Potential volunteers should call (970) 491-1774 or (970) 204-6946.

The cost to the public is $4 a day for adults or $6 for both days. Children ages 6 to 12 are $2 a day or $3 for the weekend. Those 5 years old and younger are free. The event starts about 9 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.
