It’s been a year since Ryan E. Guitron has been seen, and the
Larimer County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation.
Guitron disappeared from the Fort Collins area on or around Oct.
15, 2003, according to a press release from Larimer County
Investigators suspect foul play was involved and are encouraging
anyone with information to come forward.
Guitron was seen in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Greeley
in the weeks prior to his disappearance. Investigators have learned
that some of Guitron’s associates were involved in the manufacture
and distribution of methamphetamine and believe his disappearance
may be linked to these activities.
“This is an open case,” said Eloise Campanella, press
information officer for Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. “We put
out information whenever we can.”
According to Larimer County’s Web site, methamphetamine has
become the leading drug issue for Larimer County in recent years.
Labs are being found in garages, houses, vehicles, motel rooms and
storage lockers. A list of drug labs found in unincorporated
Larimer County is listed on the Web site, www.co.larimer.co.us.
