It’s hockey time. Not for the NHL, but certainly for the CSU

Rams. After three weeks of practice, the CSU hockey club team

begins its season tonight with a game against Weber State at 7:30

p.m. at Edora Pool Ice Center, 1801 Riverside Ave.

The restructured team boasts new coach Rod Wolfe and a new

lineup after having graduated a bulk of the team last year.

“We’re much better than I would have thought,” said sophomore

defender Jordan Stoyer. “Practices have gone really well and we’re

clicking as a team.”

The CSU hockey team has been pretty successful in the past, but

team members hope a new coach will take them any further. They are

also excited about the change.

“Having a coach with experience will definitely benefit us,”

Stoyer said. “We respect and listen to (Wolfe) because he knows

what he’s doing.

Players to watch in the upcoming season include Ryan Louis, who

looks to lead the offense this year, and 6-foot-4-inch Fort Collins

native Chris Hau, who will anchor the defense.

Then on Friday night at 7:30 p.m., the team looks to take on

University of Denver’s club team. All home games will take place at

EPIC.
