Senate recommends ID change

With election tensions speeding the meeting, the Associated Students of CSU Senate recommended that CSU change student identification cards to give students ready access to important phone numbers.

The senate recommended that future student identification cards are created with phone numbers for the CSU Police Department, Lory Student Center Campus Information Services, SafeWalk and the Victim Assistance Team on the back.

The recommendation passed with little debate; because CSU owns and operates the equipment used to make the cards, changing the design is unlikely to create problems.

Measures recommending the return of College Days, keeping the disc golf course in its current location and preventing the closure of the Environmental Learning Center’s educational programs were sent to committee at the meeting, to be passed at a future meeting.
