Fort Collins police are seeking information a police impostor who entered a home on Feb. 9 and questioned the occupant.
No Fort Collins police or Larimer County law enforcement officials were at the address at the given time, according to a release from the Fort Collins Police Service.
On Feb. 9 at approximately 10:30 a.m a male entered a home in the 1500 block of West Mulberry and questioned a 28-year-old female occupant about her financial status, her relationship with her roommates and their financial status, according to the release.
The man identified himself as a Fort Collins police officer and wore a gold shield-type badge on his left chest pocket that read “Fort Collins.” He called himself “Dick” or “Rick” and did not leave a business card. The imposter is described as an Asian male, 25 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 6 inches with a medium build.
