The Associated Students of CSU Student Fee Review Board saw presentations from the Performing Arts Advisory Council and the Committee for Disabled Student Accessibility Tuesday.

The meeting was informational, giving members of the Student Fee Review Board a chance to learn about the presenting groups before funding is decided on in the spring.

The Performing Arts Advisory Council is responsible for theater, music and dance productions at CSU. While many of the participants in these programs are majoring in programs in the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance, all CSU students are able to try out and participate in them.

The Committee for Disabled Student Accessibility is a relatively small group, supported by a 50 cent per student, per semester fee. The group works to augment CSU’s accessibility to disabled students.

While federal law mandates that the campus must be handicap-accessible, improvements to the campus can often take more than one year be implemented. The committee’s goal is to get improvements made more quickly and to implement features like electronic doors, that aren’t required by law.
